A Mumbai Indians Initiative

India has over 184 million children enrolled in primary school today. Did you know that over 50% of them, nearly 62 million, drop out of school by class VIII? Completion rates are even poorer amongst children from socially and economically marginalized backgrounds. Girls consistently fare worse than boys. Some drop out for economic reasons; some, because the quality of teaching is so poor; some because of lack of basic infrastructure, like decent classrooms and toilets. Children who have special needs cannot cope without a supportive environment. How can we create a productive, to develop its full potential?
