Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20) brings together the best domestic clubs from across the world in a battle for Twenty20 format winner. CLT20 is collective initiative of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Cricket Australia and Cricket South Africa. Tournament is played every year and 2012 will be its fourth year. CLT20 (2012) fixtures will be held in Durban, Johannesburg, Capetown and Centurion A qualifier round will be played between following 6 teams at Johannesburg & Centurion between Oct 09th to 11th, 2012.There will be 6 teams that will compete to qualify for the League Stage of the tournament. 6 Teams have been split into the following 2 pools

Pool 1

Sialkot Stallions ( Pakistan)

Auckland Aces (New Zealand)

ECB1 (Winner of the domestic T20 county championships in England)

Pool 2

ECB2 (Runners-up of the domestic T20 county championships in England),

Trinidad and Tobago (West Indies)

SLC (Winner of Sri Lanka Premier League 2012)

Winners from Pool 1 & Pool 2 will qualify as Q1 & Q2 repectively and join 8 best teams to fight for CLT20 honors.

Qualifier 1 will be in Group A and Qualifier 2 will be in Group B.

If teams from the same pool are equal on points, the qualifier will be decided by net run rate.

Fixtures Format

10 teams are split into 2 groups – Group A & Group B. Each team will play other 4 teams in its group once and the top two teams in each group qualify for the semi-finals.
