Adding yet another feather in its long-term association with cricket in the country, Hero Honda Motors Ltd, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has become the new Team Sponsor for the Mumbai Indians (MI), the most followed franchisee of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The agreement between Hero Honda and Mumbai Indians is the largest sponsorship agreement in the history of IPL for any franchisee. Beginning with the fourth edition of the IPL, Mumbai Indians’ team jersey will sport Hero Honda logo on the front. Additionally, Hero Honda brand will bring its salience to the field, as well as on-ground activation.
Captained by Icon Player Sachin Tendulkar, Mumbai Indians has added some exciting talent for this season, including explosive all rounder Andrew Symonds and Indian batsman Rohit Sharma. Mumbai Indians has stars like Harbhajan Singh, Lasith Malinga and Kieron Pollard who have been part of the campaign, which saw MI emerge as the most successful team in Season III.
