By Mumbai Indians

The full schedule for the Indian Premier League was announced by the governing body on March 19, Tuesday. The schedule had no mention of the dates for the playoffs or the final. The league stage will start on March 23 and will go on till May 5.

We host Delhi Capitals on March 24 in our season opener at the Wankhede Stadium. The first home game will be followed by two back-to-back matches on the road — against Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 28 and Kings XI Punjab on March 30. The game in Mohali will also be our first-afternoon start of the season.

We return home for our fourth match on April 3 against the defending champions – Chennai Super Kings. Post this, we again hit the road to face Kane Williamson’s Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad on April 6.

We return to Mumbai again to play three back to back home matches at the Wankhede. First up, we play host to Kings XI Punjab in Mumbai for the reverse fixture.

In our second afternoon start of the season, we will take on Rajasthan Royals on April 13 followed by a game on April 15 against Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore.

On April 20, we move to Jaipur for our third-afternoon match of the season — against Rajasthan Royals. For the first time in years, there won’t be a match on April 24, which is also MI Icon Sachin Tendulkar’s birthday, at the Wankhede.

After a six-day break, we will return to action at the Chepauk to face the Chennai Super Kings on April 26. Rohit Sharma and Co. will continue to travel from home and move to the eastern part of the country to battle Kolkata Knight Riders on April 28 at the Eden Gardens – the venue where we won IPL 2015.

Our last two leagues matches will be played at home against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 2 and against Kolkata Knight Riders on May 5. This will also be the last league game of the 2019 IPL season. Incidentally, we were also involved in the last league of the 2018 season.

The season starts on March 23 at Chepauk between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
