The 10th edition of the IPL is less than 4 months away and there will be an auction in a couple of months’ time. However, prior to that all the franchises had to submit a list of retained and released players to BCCI. The deadline for submitting this list was 15th December 2016.

For the last edition of the IPL, Mumbai Indians had 28 players in the squad. Out of the 28 players, 20 have been retained while 8 have been released. The list of released players includes 4 foreigner players and 4 Indian players.
