“We win as a team, we lose as a team”: Nehal Wadhera

By Mumbai Indians

Our trip to the Pink City didn’t go as planned, as Rajasthan Royals got the better of us by nine wickets on Monday (April 22). But you know the Paltan mentality: we rise and move forward and continue with our heads and spirits held high.

Nehal Wadhera, who played an important cameo with a 24-ball 49, spoke to the media in the post-match press conference.

“In T20s, individual scores only matter a little for me and other players. The result that matters is that Mumbai Indians should win” Nehal said.

“Regarding the games we have now, we need to win all the games to qualify. We have been in such a situation in earlier seasons as well, and we have, you know, upped our game from there and qualified. So, we are optimistic even right now. We will continue the process we are following and win the games for the team,” he added.

Our start to the second half of the league phase began on a rocky note. But what matters the most is that the team sticks together through thick and thin.

“We win as a team, and we lose as a team,” the southpaw said.

“We need to raise our game and figure out where we have been going wrong or where we have been going right so that we can rectify our mistakes whenever we return.”

Paltan, we return to the drawing board, reset ourselves, and start the next game afresh. We are known for our comebacks, and with your constant support, we can make them possible.
