Jasprit 'Boom' Bumrah may have an unconventional bowling action, but he has turned into one of the most lethal limited overs bowlers in the world. The right-arm pacer, gave jaw-dropping performances for Mumbai Indians which paved the way to his selection in the Indian squad and his debut against Australia in 2016. Following Malinga’s footsteps with his pin-point yorkers, Boom played his first IPL match in 2013. Only a 19-year-old then, Bumrah made his IPL debut before his first-class debut for Gujarat against Vidarbha in the same year. He was the leading wicket-taker for Gujarat in the 2013-14 season.
Bumrah came into his own in IPL 2016 with 15 wickets, impressing with his death-bowling prowess. He took this form to the international arena, being the leading wicket-taker in T20-internationals with 28 in 2016. Boom is known for the variety in his bowling armoury, with both pace and control being his forte.
