We're all set for #ESAMatchday. Are you?

By Mumbai Indians

This is it. It’s a day like no other. It’s a match like no other. And it’s a gathering like no other. It’s the ESA Matchday!

Education and Sports for All (ESA), a proud initiative of the Reliance Foundation, will bring together more than 21,000 children from various NGOs across Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday afternoon to watch the Mumbai Indians take on the Delhi Daredevils. The young boys and girls will cheer for their favourite stars and go home with hundreds of stories to narrate.

ESA provides holistic development and equal opportunities to children in education and sports. ESA supports the education of underprivileged children by partnering with NGOs. It works at the grassroots and helps improve the quality of the sporting ecosystem through better facilities, training, infrastructure and equipment. Cumulatively, the programme has reached out to over 13 million children.

Reliance Foundation has made elaborate arrangements to ensure every child is looked after with great care. As many as 450 B.E.S.T. and private buses will be deployed to transport the children to and from the stadium. Over 2,000 volunteers will help in the smooth conduct of proceedings. Reliance Foundation has made available over 100,000 food boxes as well as sufficient water and beverages for the children. A medical team will be present at the stadium to cater to any and every emergency.

Magic Bus, Aarambh, Aseema, Door Step School, Meljol, Muktangan, Mumbai Mobile Crèches, Pratham, Akanksha, Angel Xpress, Kalyan Apate School, Sakhi for Girls Education, Salaam Bombay, Spark A Change, Teach for India, Ummeed, Vatsalya Foundation and Shishu Vikas Mandir are the 18 NGOs Reliance Foundation has partnered with to make the ESA Matchday a success.
