MI stars to play for Team India

By Mumbai Indians

The game never ends, not for our players. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selectors released the squads due to play for Team India in the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe and West Indies. The team will be playing 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs in Zimbabwe and 4 test matches in West Indies.

MI’s Mr. dependable Ambati Rayudu and our young seamer Jasprit Bumrah will play in the Zimbabwe tour scheduled for June-July 2016. Our prolific run getter Ambati Rayudu who played 13 games in IPL 2016, amassed 334 runs. Jasprit Bumrah, the ‘find of the tour’ as quoted by Team India skipper M.S. Dhoni after the bilateral T20I series against Australia, is set to join the national team again, but this time against the Zimbabweans. The tour will see the MI duo playing together once again and this time they will be making India proud.

The MI skipper Rohit Sharma, will be playing in the upcoming tour of West Indies. The four test match series is tentatively scheduled to be played in the months of July-August 2016. This series will hold a lot of importance for Rohit and the Indian squad after a long season of limited over cricket.

Rohit Sharma led the Mumbai Indians to a 7 win – 7 loss standing during this year’s IPL. Whether he will be playing in the middle order or he will be opening the batting for India, is still unknown. The overall team for the West Indies tour remains more or less unchanged from the one that played against South Africa in the home series.
