MI Junior: Bhavik, Dhairyasheel, Rishi and others shine for their teams

Bhavik Desai, Dhairyasheel Deshmukh, Rishi Velani, Mehul Mehta and others produced match-winning performances for their respective teams in the ongoing MI junior inter-school cricket tournament on Wednesday.

In a Boys's U-14 match, Bhavik Desai (6-12) wreaked havoc against Lok Puram Public School,  Thane, bundling them out for a paltry 19 runs.  In response, RR Education Trust (Mulund) chased down the target in just 2.2 overs.

Dhairyasheel Deshmukh fifer (5-5) guided Al Barkat Mallik Muhammad Islam English School to nine-wicket win over B A K Swadhyay Bhavan Matunga after bowling them out for just 34 runs in another Boys's U-14 match.

Sri Ma Vidyalaya, Thane won by walkover against Ryan Global School (Kharghar) in another match of the same category.

Elsewhere in a Boy's U-16 match, brilliant bowling by Rishi Velani (3/2) and Mehul Mehta (3/17) led Vibgyor Roots and Rise (Malad) to nine wicket win over Amulakh Amichand International School, Matunga, who were bowled out for 52 runs.

Riding on superb performance by Daiwik Save (6-28) and Aryan Sakpal (55), Swami Vivekanand(Borivali) thrashed Balmohan Vidyamandir Marathi School by nine wickets in another Boy's U-16 match.  

Shamik S's fifty (53), Aryan Pawar's 3/10 led Lakshdham High School Goregaon to 56 run-win over St. Joseph's School, Dombivli in a Boy's U-14 match. Another Boy's U-14 match saw Tanmay Shivaji Shinde's fantastic all-round (43 and 2-22) show, which helped Cardinal Gracias High School (Bandra) beat Saraswati  Rabodi by 38 runs.

Meanwhile, JV Parekh International School (Vile Parle) won by walkover against ANJUMAN-I-ISLAM MUSTAFA FAKIH URDU HIGH SCHOOL TURBHE in a U-16 match.

In another Boy's U-16 match, Rizvi Springfield High School (Khar) beat Gokuldham High School (Goregaon) by 220 runs after bowling them out for 60 runs, with Devansh Rai (2-3) and Meet Patel (2-7) claiming two wicket each.

On the other hand, Neel Koli's fantastic century (114*) led Oxford Public School, Kandivali to a massive 344 run win over Billabong, Thane, who were bowled for just 40 runs in a Boy's U-14 match.

In another match of the same category, Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Chembur beat Dhirubhai Ambani International School by 59 runs with Aryan Gaikwad claiming 4/15.
