All set to bring some PEAK World Cup form into the IPL - Will Jacks #AalaRe
When the mighty all-rounder walks onto the ground, Paltan…it is power hitting at its best that we have found. Stepping down the track, he produces his ‘A’ game. Big shots, and powerful knocks garner him fame- that is our very own Will Jacks who lights up the game. 💙
Come the cricketing season, and a new chapter unfolded…fearlessness, and full intent is shown 💪. Jacksy has evolved as a cricketer since he made his debut and continues to learn from various experiences generated by playing in franchise leagues all over the world. He has converted his potential into tremendous performances, especially for us at Mumbai Indians. Truly, he is Paltan ki Aan, Baan aur Shaan. 🫶
The past year provided Will with a lot of opportunities, only and only fireworks were showcased when it came to the shortest format of the game. When pressure peaked, WJ put his hand up with exceptional stroke play and intelligent off spin, foxing the opposition. The best advice he received was to go out there in the middle, express himself, have fun and win games.
His mindset is what makes the difference. When everyone else takes the road leading to the west, Will chooses the absolute opposite. It may be the longer one, but success is guaranteed. The moment he takes guard; he starts thinking one step ahead of the bowler. He masters the ability to clear the boundary ropes a long way. His down the ground monster sixes, pick-up shots, inside-out lofted drives, reverse sweeps, and ramp shots are always a delight. 💥🔥
He earned his place into England’s squad for the 2025-26 Ashes. After the ultimate test that every English cricketer faces, he switched gears rather quickly during the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. He was indeed the stand out performer for England throughout the series. His stats did all the talking- 8 matches, 226 runs, SR-176.56, he smashed 14 sixes and picked 9 wickets during the tournament proving to be a clutch player. He would read the conditions well, counter attack and help shift the momentum. He was thus rewarded with 4 Man of the Match awards 🤯, equalling the record previously set by Shane Watson in 2012.
