BREAKING: VIVO IPL 2018 fixtures out
It is that time of the year when everyone starts sensing the approaching festival of cricket – VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018. The last VIVO IPL match was held on 21st May, 2017 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, where we won our third title. Fast forward to 7th April, the inaugural match of the VIVO IPL 2018 will be held at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. As defending champions, Mumbai Indians, will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings to kickstart the tournament. All the eight teams will play 14 matches each, playing home and away matches with each team before the top four teams enter the playoffs. A total of 60 matches will be played throughout the season and the final will be held on 27th May, 2018 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
It is the tournament which gets the entire nation glued to the cricketing bonanza. The Paltan will be excited to witness the first fixture at home. Post auction, there has been a lot of shuffling in the squads across all the teams. Mumbai Indians are heading into the season with a strong squad and the current form of all the players, including the uncapped players, is phenomenal. 7th April, 2018 is the day when the Paltan will be in MI blue and will cheer for their favorite players at our fortress, against our old rivals, Chennai Super Kings
A few weeks to go and the preparations for the extravaganza will be in full swing. Out of the first five matches, three will be held at the Wankhede. We play our last match of the league stage against Delhi Daredevils, at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi, before the final showdown of the tournament starts.
