India defeated Australia by 13 runs to win the third One Day International at Manuka Oval, Canberra.

The hosts ended up winning the series 2-1 with Steve Smith rewarded the Man of the Series. Hardik Pandya was awarded the Man of the Match for his match-winning knock of 92* (76).

We take you through some of the talking points of the match.

Kohli scores second consecutive half-century

After scoring a gritty knock of 89 at SCG, Kohli continued to display his prominence with the bat as he posted 63. In the process, he also became the fastest batsman to reach 12,000 runs in ODIs, breaking the 17-year old record set by Sachin Tendulkar.

Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja revive the Men in Blue

Reduced to 152/5 after 32 overs, the Men in Blue were in a dire situation. The duo of Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja stepped up and turned the game in India’s favor. Both put up an unbeaten partnership of 150 runs from just 108 balls.

They hit a total of 86 runs in the last six overs to get India past 300. While Hardik scored a career-best of 92* (76), Jadeja also stayed not out on 66* (50).

Agar and Zampa bamboozle Indian batsmen

Ashton Agar was on a roll as he trapped Shubman Gill in front of the stumps. Later when Rahul was looking good at the crease, he managed to get him LBW as well.

On the other hand, Zampa also managed to get the wicket of Iyer as India lost wickets in quick succession. Both were also quite economical with the ball conceding at less than 4.5 runs an over.

Aaron Finch scores third consecutive 50 plus score

The Australian skipper continued his splendid run with the bat in the series. Aaron Finch scored a well-made 75 batting at the top order as both Labuschagne and Steve Smith were dismissed cheaply.

Glenn Maxwell threatens to take the game away

The Australian all-rounder launched himself against the Indian bowlers and was looking to take the hosts across the finishing line. Hitting four sixes and three boundaries, Maxwell notched up 59 (38) before Bumrah cleaned him up.

Indian pace-attack sizzles

Natarajan who was making his debut drew first blood as he got rid of Marnus Labuschagne. He later also accounted for the wicket of Ashton Agar during an important juncture in the match.

Shardul Thakur was the pick amongst the bowlers with a three-wicket haul. He opened his account with the wicket of the man in form, Steve Smith. Later, he got a couple of more scalps in the form of Moises Henriques and Sean Abbott.

Jasprit Bumrah bowled out Glenn Maxwell with a perfect yorker just when he threatened to take the game away from India. The right-arm pacer later had Zampa trapped in front of the stumps to finish with two wickets.
