India, Bangladesh play decider at Nagpur

India and Bangladesh are all set to clash in the third and final T20I at Nagpur. With two T20 World Cups in the next couple of years, both teams have been giving ample chances to the youngsters.

Here are five talking points ahead of the game:

Big knock due from Shikhar Dhawan

So far in the series, Dhawan hasn’t been able to perform up to his potential. While he’s the second-highest run-scorer in the series after Rohit Sharma, his strike rate of 104.35 has been an area of concern. With youngsters waiting to get in the Indian side, Dhawan will want to prove his mettle with a big score in Nagpur.

Rohit Record Run

2019 has been Rohit Sharma’s year, no matter what the format. With centuries in 2017 and 2018, the Indian captain would be looking to make a hat-trick of centuries. He already holds a plethora of records in T20Is which includes most runs, most hundreds and most sixes.

History in the making

While Bangladesh may have been toppled by the Men in Blue at Rajkot, the visitors still have a chance of recreating history. A victory here will help them register their first-ever T20I series win over India. In a squad that’s already missing star players like Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan, it will be a huge boost for them.

Bangladesh batting bust

After a spectacular start by the openers at Rajkot, the rest of the batting lineup failed to capitalise on what was a good track. It will be interesting to see if Bangladesh continue with the all-rounders or bring in a specialist batsman in Mohammad Mithun.

Turn at Nagpur

This is the same ground where Mitchell Santner bamboozled the Indian batsmen in the T20 World Cup back in 2016. India also have good memories of the ground when Jasprit Bumrah managed to defend 8 runs in the last over against Joe Root and Jos Buttler. Hence, we’re likely to not see a batting feast. Spinners from both teams will play a crucial role.

The T20 international series decider will take place at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur on the 10th of November.
