Finally, with 22 runs to defend off 12 balls, Boom conceded just six runs and had the dangerman KL Rahul (94) caught at long-off. Mitchell McClenaghan worked his own magic in the final over to ensure we sealed the deal. POTM Jasprit Bumrah ended with 3/15 in his four over spell.

Pollard’s clutch storm at home (2019)

Our very own KP smashed a brilliant 83 in 31 balls including three boundaries and 10 maximums with a SR-267.74 thus winning the POTM award. MI chased down 198/7 in 20 overs, winning by three wickets off the last ball of the innings against the Kings on 10th April 2019 at our fortress, the big W.

Double super over saga (2020)

18th October 2020 was a night that refused to end in Dubai as the match was tied between MI and Kings XI Punjab at 176/6 in 20 overs. It took two super overs and finally the Kings found themselves crossing the winning line. Earlier, Quinton de Kock played well for his 53 in 43 balls while Pollard remained unbeaten on 34 off 12. Boom grabbed 3/24.

Tilak’s finishing flourish at Mohali (2023)

Mumbai Indians clinched a victory by six wickets and seven balls to spare versus PBKS, as they chased down 216/4 on 3rd May 2023. Tilak Varma slammed a terrific cameo in the end, 26*(10), one four and three sixes with a SR- 260.

MI won a close contest by nine runs on 18th April 2024 as POTM and yorker king Jasprit Bumrah was exceptional, ending with figures of 3/21. Earlier, MI made 192/7 in 20 overs courtesy splendid knocks from SKY 78(53) and Tilak’s 34*(18).
