Our team is all set to begin their quest for glory with a squad that blends experience, firepower, fresh energy and versatility galore 💙. The cheers, chants and support for our girls will be unmatched and loud all the way towards the finishing line. India, the most successful side in the competition, will be looking to make another strong statement in the shortest format of the game. Three different opponents during the group stage Thailand, Hong Kong, China followed by Pakistan and one clear mission… start off with a win, build momentum early on and ultimately make it to the final. 🏆

At the heart of India’s campaign is our very own Mumbaichi Rani, Harmanpreet Kaur. The big match winner who has the ability to change momentum rather quickly. She leads from the front bringing in the balance between established stars and gen next, which could prove to be the turning point. On the other hand, her deputy Smriti Mandhana adds stability at the top, setting the tempo early on with her explosive and fearless strokeplay.

Then comes Shafali Verma, who can turn the powerplay into a boundary hitting fest. Pratika Rawal returns to the squad, giving India the added batting depth. Bharti Fulmali brings in her own valuable experience. Deepti Sharma, Arundhati Reddy and Richa Ghosh, the senior pro’s will be looking to make a difference with their own x-factors. Young wicketkeeper-batter Kamalini, another exciting option gives the side a second specialist option. With the new ball, Renuka Thakur will be one of India’s key weapons.🙏

The toss will hold key at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. One major factor under lights will be the dew. The batters will have to adapt to the conditions quickly, taking advantage of the powerplay and accelerate during the death overs. Bowlers will be looking to vary their pace, hit the right lengths and maintain control especially when the ball gets slightly wet. The surface can get easier to bat during the second innings if due plays its part.
