Rayudu, Faf take CSK to victory
11:20 PM IST - Mumbai Indians were leading the way before the batting collapse restricted them to 162/9. Twin strikes from Boult and Pattinson in the first two overs allowed MI to capitalize but Rayudu and Faf's 115-run partnership took away the game from their hands. CSK end their five-match losing streak against MI.
11:19 PM IST - Faf du Plessis finishes the game for CSK with consecutive boundaries in the final over as he stays not out on 58* (44).
11:12 PM IST - Bumrah comes for his final over. Sam Curran smashes a slower ball over deep mid-wicket for a maximum. He tries to scoop the next ball but finds Pattinson. MS Dhoni comes out to bat finally. He has been adjudged out on his first ball and decided to review it. A short ball from Bumrah and the snicko detects no glove from Dhoni. Decision reversed.
11:03 PM IST - Ravindra Jadeja announces his arrival with two boundaries off Pattinson's last over. Krunal who comes back to bowl his final over fires one towards middle stumps and finds Jadeja's pads on the way. The umpire raises his finger immediately as CSK lose fourth wicket.
However, a six and a four from Sam Curran keeps CSK in command.
10:55 PM IST - Rahul Chahar has gone for a few runs today but this over has instilled some hopes for MI. Five singles and Rayudu tried to go for a maximum. He skies it in the air and Rahul takes a splendid catch off his own bowling running backwards.
10:46 PM IST - Bumrah comes in for his third over. Started the over well again but the moment he gave width, Faf took him for a boundary. Another expensive over with 11 runs coming from it. The required rate continues to be below ten.
10:41 PM IST - In a bid to break this partnership, Rohit has brought Pattinson back to the attack. Just six runs in the over. CSK require 58 runs from the last six overs as the time-out has been taken.
10:38 PM IST - Ambati Rayudu completes his fifty with a straight boundary off Bumrah but he isn't over yet. Next over against Rahul, the right-hander slams his third maximum over long-off. The spinners are having an off-day today except Chawla.
10:23 PM IST - Rayudu tries to hit in the mid-wicket area and almost finds a diving Rahul Chahar who couldn't get his hands on the ball. Rahul then bowls the next over and concedes two boundaries, both due to misfield. Momentum with CSK now.
10:16 PM IST - Spin introduced from both ends now as Krunal Pandya and Rahul Chahar bowl in tandem. CSK looking to recover from the bad start with Ambati Rayudu and Faf du Plessis settling at the crease.
10:07 PM IST - Captain Rohit now introduces Jasprit Bumrah in the final over of the powerplay. He starts off with four dot balls. However, a boundary off no-ball followed by a six from Ambati Rayudu takes CSK to 37/2 in the first six overs.

9:40 PM IST - Trent Boult takes the new ball and starts with a single followed by three consecutive dot balls. Shane Watson then hits him for a boundary but Boult has the last laugh as he traps him in front of the stumps on the final ball. His first wicket in the MI Blue and Gold coming in the very first over.
9:24 PM IST - The tailenders help MI cross the 160-run mark. Consecutive doubles from Jasprit Bumrah's bat in the final two deliveries. Target for CSK is 163 runs from 20 overs. Mumbai Indians started well but Chennai Super Kings took the momentum away in the last few overs with some quick wickets as MI collapsed from 121/3 to 156/9.
9:16 PM IST - Pollard is caught-behind as he finds the edge on the first ball of the penultimate over. Just five runs and a couple of wickets from the Ngidi over.

9:04 PM IST - MI continue to attack but CSK have got another wicket in the form of Krunal Pandya just after the time-out. Going down the leg but finds the edge, Ngidi gets his first wicket of the season. Three overs left as all MI hopes pinned on the man in form, Pollard to finish on a high.
8:54 PM IST - Hardik tries to go for another big shot, he too finds Faf du Plessis at long-off. Jadeja has got two big wickets in the over as MI now has two new batsmen at the crease, KP (Kieron Pollard) and KP (Krunal Pandya).
8:47 PM IST - A googly from Chawla hits Tiwary's pads, was reviewed but the ball was clearly missing the off-stump. In the next over, Tiwary decided to go after Jadeja on the first ball but a good catch near the long-on boundary from Faf. He departs for a well-made 42 (31).
8:36 PM IST - Hardik takes only three balls to unleash himself as he slams Jadeja for consecutive sixes, the first over deep mid-wicket and the second one hit over square leg. Powerful from Pandya!
8:28 PM IST - Just when Suryakumar Yadav was looking to accelerate, hits it high but fails to clear Sam Curran at long-on. The new batsman at the crease is Hardik Pandya who's making his first appearance in competitive cricket after almost a year.
