A scintillating ton by Arush Shende (151 off 88) stole the spotlight in an MI Junior Boys’ Under-14 fixture between School Of Scholars, Atrey Layout and Shahu Nagar, Besa in Nagpur.

Arush’s explosive knock propelled School Of Scholars to a mammoth 355 in 40 overs, before Shahu Nagar were bowled over for just 36 runs.

In a nail-biting fixture in the same category, School Of Scholars, Wanadongi edged MKH Sancheti Public School by just 15 runs.

Opting to bat first, School Of Scholars were bundled out for a paltry total of 113 runs. They needed a miracle with the ball to defend their target, which they got in the form of Parth Mishra (6 for 22), who bowled exceptionally to restrict MKH to 98 runs.

In the sole Boys’ Under-16 fixture in Nagpur, Ved Bhirangi showcased all-round brilliance to steer Narayana Vidyalayam, Waradh Road to a huge 273-run win against G.H. Raisoni Vidyaniketan, Sukali.

With the bat, Ved fell agonisingly short of a brilliant century, falling on 99, while taking the Narayana Vidyalayam total to 302. Ved then showed his mettle with the ball, taking six wickets, while giving away just 3 runs, bowling out G.H. Raisoni for a mere 29 runs.
