MI Junior 2026: Mohd Salman Khan’s 5-Wicket Haul Powers Anjuman-I-Islam Allana English School to a Dominant 10-Wicket Triumph

Anjuman-I-Islam Allana English School beat Tarapur Vidya Mandir (Palghar) to register a tormenting 10-wicket victory in a league match of the Mumbai Indians Junior Under-16 Boys Inter School Cricket Tournament.

After opting to bat first, Tarapur Vidya Mandir lost wickets at an alarming rate and struggled to gain momentum. None of their batters crossed the 20-run mark and as a result, they were bundled out for 101 runs. Anjuman-I-Islam Allana English School’s Mohd Salman Khan tore through the batting, picking wickets at crucial junctures and ended the match with figures of 5 for 22.

Chasing a modest target of 102, openers Shahid Khan and Laxmanprasad Vishwakarma forged an unbeaten 102-run opening stand, with the former scoring an artistically articulated half-century to propel Anjuman-I-Islam Allana English School to a scintillating 10-wicket victory.  

In the Girls U-15 category, Parag English School beat Dnyandeep Seva Mandal by a commanding margin of 103 runs. After being put into bat, Mudra (75) and Advaita Toraskar (68 n.o) made mockery of the bowling as both scored staggering half-centuries to power Parag English School to a daunting total of 229 in their allotted 20 overs.

In response, Kimaya Kadam single-handedly led the chase with a well-crafted knock of 64 runs, but it was Mudra’s 2 for 15 that ensured that Dynandeep Seva Mandal could only amass 126 runs in their 20 overs, thus handing Parag English School a comprehensive victory.

In another contest in the Girls U-15 category, Aarya Gaikwad took 4 wickets in a single over and was the chief architect of Swami Vivekanand International School’s triumph over Lok Puram Public School.
