MI Junior: Sane Guruji English Medium School, IES Secondary, RR Education Trust register wins

Sane Guruji English Medium School (Dadar), IES Secondary School (Mulund) , RR Education Trust and others registered victories in the respective matches in different categories of the ongoing MI junior Inter-school cricket tournament on Tuesday

Swanik Waghdhare scored a stunning double century (250 off 98) to post up a massive total of 416 in 40 overs for Sane Guruji English Medium School (Dadar) in an MI Junior Boys’ Under-14 league match at the Cross Maidan. In response, St. Xavier’s High School (Virar) were bundled out for 164 thanks to a 5-wicket haul by Swapnil Gollar, giving Sane Guruji a massive 252-run victory.

On the other hand, Tons by Tejas Morey (159*off 76) and Amogh Edlabadkar (113 off 86) powered IES Secondary School (Mulund) to a massive 448 run- victory against Ryan International School (Nerul) in a Boys’ U-16 match. IES posted a mammoth total of 490. In response, Ryan International managed just 42 runs, with Aditya Khollam doing the bulk of the damage by taking 5 wickets.

Elsewhere, left-arm spinner Aniket Patil (5 for 10) ripped through the Kanchan High School batting line up with ease, to give RR Education Trust a comfortable 9-wicket victory in a Boys' U-16 match.

Meanwhile, in an U-15 Girl's match, Vasant Vihar High School thrashed Anjuman-I-Islam Mustafa Fakih Urdu School (Turbhe) by 10 wickets, courtesy Saee Bhide' 3 wickets. The other Girls match in the same category saw St. Aloysius High School (Nalasopara) beat Pawar Public School (Bhandup) by seven wickets with the help of Ichchha Sharma's 42 runs.

Riding on Vinayak Parab's 3-31, St. Stanislaus High School (Bandra) beat St. Xaviers High School (Mira Road) by three wickets in a U-14 boys match.

In an U-16 Boy's match, Shishuvan School (Matunga) beat SIES (Matunga) by 8 wickets courtesy a vital knock by Shikhar Jain (39*) while Ravish Tatli 56 not out helped Scholars English Medium High School (Bhiwandi) beat St. Aloysius High School (Nalasopara) by seven wickets in an U-14 match. 

Meanwhile,  RV Nerker Secondary School (Vasai) beat Utpal Sanghvi Global School (Juhu) by 8 wickets and All Saints High School (Bhiwandi) registered 158 run win over Chatrabhuj Narsee Memorial School (Vile Parle) in their respective U-14 Boy's matches.

Elsewhere, St. Anne’s Convent School (Vasai) suffered a 10-wicket loss to St. Mary’s High School SSC in a U-16 Boys's match. On the other hand, Shahid Shaikh all-round performance (64 runs and 1 wicket) led Anjuman Islam English School (Vashi) to a massive 212 run win over Ryan International School (Nalasopara) in another match of the same category.

Deekshant Patil's 4 wickets guided K C Gandhi English School (Kalyan) 57/1 to nine-wicket win over St. Xaviers School (Airoli) by 9 wickets in a Boys' 14 match.
