Mumbai-Kerr show against RCB brings us back to winning ways

The scorecard may suggest a four-wicket win, but this sure was dominant. And Mumbai Indians were back after a blip. Back to where we belong - at the top of the table. So here are the day's game-changing moments, turning the game in our favour, bit by bit ..

* A running mix-up sets the scene: In the first over itself, some yes-no calling between Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine rocked RCB early, and well, they just couldn't recover. Mandhana and Ellyse Perry did put up a partnership, but our bowlers kept it super tight, and refused to let them get a move on.

* Call Issy for a smooth clean-up: While Richa Ghosh was striking them big at the death, Issy Wong made sure she had no support from the other end, staying tidy in the closing overs.

* Amelia sab Kerr-egi: She isn't your usual leggie. She's smarter than them. And through the middle overs, her web proved to be too sticky for the batters to get out of. Mandhana, Heather Knight, Kanika Ahuja, all fell while trying to take her on. And Kerr wasn't done for the day. As we wobbled a tad bit with the bat in what looked like an otherwise east chase, she was just the calm we needed, steering us home.

* And our openers are back: Yep, it was a two-match glitch. Yastika got a 26-ball 30. Hayley got a 17-ball 24. And everything was normal again. Together, they made sure RCB's tiniest of hopes of causing a surprise were put to bed. Firmly.

Right then, WE ARE BACK. Bring on the playoffs already!
