Player list - IPL 2020 Auction: All you need to know

The player list for the upcoming IPL auction was released on Friday by BCCI. A total of 332 cricketers would be going under the hammer after the initial list of 997 players was shortlisted by all the franchises.

The highest price bracket, i.e. INR 2 Crores consists of Australian Test vice-captain Pat Cummins, his counterpart Josh Hazlewood, the very explosive Chris Lynn, all-rounder Mitchell Marsh, T20 specialist Glenn Maxwell, South Africa’s premier pacer Dale Steyn and former Sri Lanka skipper Angelo Mathews. On the other hand, 2019 World Cup-winning captain Eoin Morgan, English opener Jason Roy, Protea all-rounder Chris Morris, English all-rounder Chris Woakes have placed themselves in the 1.5 CR bracket.

Former MI player Robin Uthappa is the highest priced Indian cricketer at 1.5 Crores while the likes of Yusuf Pathan, Jaydev Unadkat and Piyush Chawla have opted for the 1 Crore base price. Three cricketers from associate nations, i.e. Ali Khan (USA), Zahoor Khan (UAE) and George Munsey (SCO) will also be going under the hammer

Overall, there will be a total of 186 Indian and 146 overseas cricketers that will be auctioned. The IPL Auctions is scheduled to take place at Kolkata on the 19th of December from 15:30 IST.
