Say hello to the 'Harmanpreet Kaur Stand'

It doesn’t get any bigger than this. For an Indian cricketer, the ultimate honour, the you-have-officially-conquered moment, is when you have a stand in your home stadium named after you. Last year during the IPL, Rohit Sharma was honoured with a stand in his name at the Wankhede Stadium. Aapli Harmanpreet Kaur has followed suit. 💙

Still riding the high of winning the Women’s ODI World Cup, she now has another reason to celebrate, because the Mullanpur Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh, now has a HARMANPREET KAUR STAND. Another India legend who donned the Blue and Gold, won India two World Cups with his stellar performances, Yuvraj Singh also had a stand named after him. 👏

For the girl from Moga who made her debut in 2009, it was her 170-run knock against Australia in 2017 that got the country hooked onto women’s cricket. She’s now a certified legend with the bat, a trailblazer for an entire generation of young kids, a two-time WPL winning skipper, a champion on and off the field. Congratulations, Kaptaan Kaur! You’ve made us super proud! 🥹
