When the run rate peaks in the middle, just bring him into the scheme of things. Blink and a miss from the bowler, the ball has sailed out of the park in a jiffy. The hard-hitting batter has always turned moments into match defining bursts of brilliance. He thrives in pressure situations, be it for West Indies or the Men in Blue and Gold now. 💙

He has done exceptionally well for the Windies since the start of 2026 and particularly thrives against pacers. One of the most explosive hitters in the middle and death overs of T20 cricket. This year, Rutherford played nine T20s for West Indies, accumulating 246 runs, SR-186.36, and highest score of 76*(42) versus England during the T20 World Cup. 👏

Come the IPL season, Mumbai Indians were looking for that X-factor in crunch situations and out walked our hero Rutherford 💪, ready to flip the script in a matter of a few balls. During MI’s last rain curtailed game at Guwahati, batting second, we had to chase down Rajasthan Royal’s 150/3 in 11 overs. 

When MI’s top order struggled to get going, Sherfane came in as an impact player, brought some hope in the middle and made Paltan believe in his magic. He smashed a cameo of 25 in just eight deliveries, including two fours and two maximums with a humongous SR-312.5. 👊

He slammed inside-out sixes over extra cover, slog sweeps, late cuts and brought some spark into the MI innings. Along with Naman Dhir he stitched a 47 runs partnership. Suddenly, the dugout was buzzing, Paltan started praying even harder…as it was about intent meeting execution at the perfect moment. In a high-pressure situation, Sherfane looked composed, unfazed, and picked the right deliveries, trusting his intuition and strengths while backing his swing. 🥶

Eight balls of brilliance, and a reminder that ‘danger’ is his new name in the middle. Now, with the next two games at our fortress Wankhede against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings respectively, this gentleman will be looking to etch his name in record books! 🤌
