Yuvraj tips Bumrah to be the best bowler at World Cup 2019

Indian cricketing stalwart Yuvraj Singh believes that our pace ace Jasprit Bumrah has what it takes to be the best bowler in the upcoming World Cup. Bumrah has taken international cricket by storm ever since he made his debut for India and has been in phenomenal form in the last few years.

A world class bowler, Bumrah is at the top in ICC ODI bowler rankings and will spearhead India’s bowling attack alongside Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami. Yuvi though believes Bumrah’s match-winning ability makes him the best in the world. "Bumrah is amongst the top three pacers in world cricket at the moment. He's been winning us games. He's at his best when he's attacking the batsman. I'm definitely gunning for Bumrah as the best bowler in the World Cup," Yuvraj told TimesNowNews.

The stylish left-hander also revealed that he has asked Bumrah not to bowl against him in the nets. "I don't play him in the nets. I tell him not to bowl to me," Yuvraj said when asked how it was difficult for batsmen to face Bumrah in the nets.

Bumrah has taken 29 wickets in 18 games since the start of 2018 for Team India and is Mumbai Indians’ leading wicket-taker in IPL 2019 as well. He has 15 wickets to his name at an economy of 6.70 and an average of 22.20. He is certain to play a major role for both MI in the IPL and the Men in Blue at the World Cup over the next few months.
