Match preview, MI vs KKR: Chasing that winning momentum!

Read it in Hindi.

A happy and upbeat team is all set to lock horns with the Kolkata Knight Riders on May 9th at the DY Patil Stadium.

Two wins in the past two games have given us the momentum we were desperately chasing all season and we are hoping for more of the same against KKR!

The numbers do speak in our favour as we have won 22 of our 30 encounters against our opponents, with a 3-2 bounce in the last five matches.

However, KKR had gotten the better of us earlier this season.

Players to watch out for

Power hitter Andre Russell is in good touch for KKR, having hit a 19-ball 45 in their previous game.

Spinner Sunil Narine has also been at his economical best, having gone at 5 or lesser in each of their last three games.

Rinku Singh and Nitish Rana have also contributed some crucial runs in the middle order.

For us, Captain Hitman and opener Ishan Kishan gave a dynamic start, maximising the powerplay.

Dan Sams has been rejuvenated in the last few games, the crowning moment of which was his defence of nine runs in the final over against GT.

SKY has hit three half-centuries while Tim David has played a couple of momentum-generating knocks towards the back-end of the innings.

Upcoming milestones

Ro is seven boundaries away from getting to 900 fours in T20s. He also needs 88 more runs to reach 5000 runs for us.

While Dan Sams has been all the rage with the ball, he could achieve this milestone with his bat - he is just two big hits away from completing 50 T20 sixes.

Let’s get behind the boys, Paltan as we aim for a third-consecutive victory!
