Alas, it ends here! You were our pride, #BatchOfWPL2026
This would be it. It wasn’t our season. We tried. We fought. It wasn’t meant to be.
For Mumbai Indians to qualify, the UP Warriorz had to win the last league game over Delhi Capitals. But with that result not going our way, it’s time to bring down curtains on our campaign. We had our ups and downs over the last one month. We battled injuries. Sadly, we couldn’t end it on an up.
But once the layers are lifted and the dust settles, what will remain is our immense pride in this bunch of girls, who gave it their all for the Blue and Gold. Whether it was Nat Sciver-Brunt lighting up the record books, becoming the first WPL centurion, or it was Amelia Kerr bamboozling batters left, right and center, or Nicola Carey announcing her arrival, or Shabnim Ismail’s miserly spells, or Amanjot Kaur’s brilliant all-round show, or Kaptaan Kaur’s mastery with the bat and while leading the troops, this indeed was a month we’d look back with pride.
To our backbone, our constant, our Paltan, thank you for all the support. Thank you for flocking in and being perfect the 12th member in our lineup. This is MI City. This is MI Team. This is MI Pride. We are Mumbai Indians.
