We need to be positive against RCB: Hardik

By Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians suffered a shattering defeat at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad in their previous game. The hosts were shot out for 92 runs, which ended the winning streak. Talking about the last match’s defeat, Hardik said, “Honestly, it is pretty simple. We don’t have to think about the previous game and what happened with us. We are looking forward to tomorrow’s game and it is important for us. Last match is the past and whatever comes our way, we are ready for it.”

We will be visiting RCB for their 10th match. The Chinnaswamy stadium is known for being a batting paradise plus the smaller size of the ground aids the batsmen. To which Hardik says, “If you bowl well I don’t think the ground matters. I know it is a high scoring ground so we need to pick up wickets. AB de Villiers is in devastating form. It is important to be confident, and go in with a positive frame of mind. With someone like AB de Villiers and Kohli batting, you can’t make mistakes against them,”said Hardik.

Mumbai Indians have a new home in the form of Visakhapatnam. Talking about the change in venue, Hardik, replied calmly, “We are used to playing in other grounds. So it’s fine wherever we play it just that we should enjoy the game. As a player I play wherever the team goes.”

Adding on the big match topic, Hardik said, “RCB is a dangerous team and the game is crucial. Let’s see which team can cope with the pressure. There is no doubt they have a great batting line up. So when we face them we need to be positive and on top of our game.”
