The Indian cricket team has well and truly arrived on English soil!
Led by Shubman Gill, Team India missed out on a win in the first Test despite dominating the majority of the game.
However, they roared back to record a famous victory in Birmingham, which also happens to be our maiden success at Edgbaston in nine attempts. 👏 Amidst an all-round effort, the ⬇️ trio stood out thanks to some classsssss performance.

Rahane, Shami & Bumrah take onus with the bat
Sure, you guys must be wondering why the two bowlers are mentioned here. 😌 Well, they woundn’t be here if not for the match-saving (read match-defining) 89-run partnership between them for the ninth wicket.
Ajinkya Rahane’s 100-run partnership with Cheteshwar Pujara gave India a decent cushion on Day 4.
But it was Bumrah (34* off 64) आणि Shami (56* off 70) who actually extended our lead to 271 runs shortly after Lunch on Day 5 as the team decided to declare the innings, setting a 272-run target.

The final innings began with a huddle, where Virat Kohli addressed his boys. It wasn’t just another team talk… it sounded more like a warning where nothing less than a W would suffice India’s hunger to get a ‘result’. 💪
“For 60 overs they should feel hell out there…” was the command. All the 11 fielders ensured utmost discipline & what followed next was a prime example of ABSOLUTE CINEMA AT THE HOME OF CRICKET! 🔥
