India, SL move to Indore after Guwahati washout
India and Sri Lanka are set to face each other in the second T20I at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. The first of the three T20Is was abandoned without a ball being bowled at Guwahati’s Barsapara stadium.
Ahead of the match, here are some talking points:
A hungrier Bumrah on the prowl
Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah was ready to make a comeback from a stress fracture suffered last year in September. But the rain had a different plan and Bumrah’s comeback had to wait. All eyes will be on Bumrah when he marks his run-up on Jan 07.
Boom will be back in blue for three T20Is against 🇱🇰 and three ODIs against 🇦🇺 in early 2020 👌#OneFamily #CricketMeriJaan @Jaspritbumrah93 pic.twitter.com/jS5fyFceIS

India’s good memories at Holkar
Holkar stadium’s only T20I was played between India and Sri Lanka in December 2017 and saw a reckless Rohit Sharma tear through the visitors’ bowling attack, scoring 118 (43). India won the match by 88 runs. With Rohit taking a break, who will top-score for India at Holkar? Register on mumbaiindians.com and tell us in the comments section.

Will Angelo Mathews get a chance?
Despite returning to T20Is after almost a year and a half, the former Sri Lanka skipper was not named in the playing XI for the first game. Will the senior Sri Lankan player get a chance this time? Only time will tell.
Focus on Dhawan, Rahul
Shikhar Dhawan’s injury paved the way for KL Rahul to prove his mettle. The result was a string of big scores that puts pressure back on Dhawan. Both openers will be looking to put their best foot forward to compete for that opener’s spot alongside Hitman in the T20 World Cup later this year.
A full game expected
The weather is expected to be a little more forgiving than what the teams saw at Guwahati. A full 20-over game can be expected here, officially kick-starting cricketing records for the teams this decade.
