Legendary RO-KO duo is back: India's squad for Australia tour ANNOUNCED

By Mumbai Indians

The squad for India’s upcoming tour of Australia, scheduled to begin from 19 October 2025, is out and it’s already giving us goosebumps. Three ODIs and five T20Is Down Under and trust us, this series promises to be ABSOLUTE CINEMA. 🔥

First things first 👉 Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, the two icons of Indian cricket, are all set to return in the ODIs!!! The cricketing fraternity has certainly missed the roar of Rohit’s pull shots and the fire in Virat’s cover drives in international cricket, even if it was for a few months after the Champions Trophy 2025 triumph, and now we’ll finally get to witness them back in the blue together.

Moreover, RO may have passed on the captaincy baton to Shubman Gill, but his presence is sure to bring calmness and experience in the dressing room. Picture it: Gill’s youthful aggression at the top, flanked by legends who’ve carried Indian cricket for over a decade. Just TOO GOOD.

But wait, the party doesn’t stop there. The T20I squad brings its own excitement, with Suryakumar दादा donning the captain’s hat. Joining him are two of our very own - Tilak Varma, fresh off his Asia Cup heroics & Jasprit Bumrah, the national treasure who keeps batters on their toes. 🤩

Meanwhile, let’s not forget that Team India enters the T20I leg following a successful Asia Cup 2025 campaign. Needless to say, the boys are gunning to keep up with the superb performances leading up to the T20 World Cup 2026 & this series proves to be another litmus test against a potent Aussies side!
