INDvAUS series preview: Moving on time..The pursuit of T20 WC 2024 begins

By Mumbai Indians

Paltan, we know how agonising the ICC World Cup 2023 final loss against Australia was. We know how the fans have managed to get back to ‘normal’ and their professional life in the aftermath of a heart-breaking defeat!

But there’s always light at the end of the tunnel and with that hope, the Indian cricket team will lock horns with Australia in a five-match T20I series beginning November 23, 2023, which will also kick-start our quest for the T20 World Cup 2024 title, with the tournament set to take place in the USA and the West Indies in June next year.

Well, we are heading towards Captain Surya Dada’s arena, his favourite format of the game which promises raining fours and sixes, with a young squad gunning to make their mark and boost their CV to cement a spot in the team for the mega event in 2024.

Our pocket dynamo Ishan Kishan and the rising superstar Tilak Varma will look to come out all guns blazing and get Team India off to a flying start, which the duo has done time and again in the IPL.

As for our Australian counterparts, middle-order batter Tim David and pacer Jason Behrendorff will be in the fray to take the field for their side. Tim David Bhau, let’s aim to keep your gigantic hits for next year's IPL and spare them in this series, please?

What: India vs Australia, five-match T20I series.

When: Thursday, November 22, 2023 to Sunday, December 3, 2023.

Where: 1st T20I (Visakhapatnam), 2nd T20I (Thiruvananthapuram), 3rd T20I (Guwahati), 4th T20I (Raipur), 5th T20I (Bengaluru).

What to expect: The T20 format living up to its hype and reputation, with players from both teams guaranteeing entertainment and thrilling encounters throughout the bilateral series! Also, our very own SKY unleashing his range of soopla shots will be a sight to behold!

What you need to do: Channelise and bring out the same World Cup energy and enthusiasm! Cheer, cheer and cheer for Team India at every moment and stand by their side come. what. may.

What they said: "What he's done in the World Cup is one thing which will set an example. It was a completely different Rohit Sharma that you saw. I mean, he literally walked the talk; what we spoke about in the team meetings, he did the same thing on the ground. We are very proud of him. As a leader he led by example and we'll try and replicate the same thing." -- Some #MILove with the new skipper, Suryakumar Yadav, paying a rich tribute to Rohit Sharma.
