A statement 101(75) from Hitman, powered with 10 fours and six sixes made fans go berserk. Timing, elegance and perfection is what summed up his wonderful ton. He also stitched a huge 255 runs opening stand with Gill. The highest partnership for any wicket in ODI’s against West Indies. Rohit got to his 35th ODI hundred in style and also crossed 12,000 ODI runs.

Take a bow Skipper Gill! A breath-taking double century, an unbeaten 223 in just 133 balls, with 26 fours and eight sixes… that had class, control and carnage written all over it. From stylish drives, to authoritative maximums, Gill found the perfect rhythm and kept the scoreboard racing with runs converting a brilliant start into a double century. A captain’s innings, a batting exhibition that had West Indies bowlers searching for answers. The highest score (223*) by any captain in ODI history. Gill also became the second batter with multiple ODI double hundreds after Rohit Sharma. He also scored the fastest ODI 200 in just 117 balls.

India clinched a win by eight wickets, 406/2 in 43.3 overs.
