Paltan, this one hurts but as our skipper said, we should keep moving forward. And we will, with the optimism to bounce back in our upcoming game away at Lucknow on Tuesday, April 30. Until then, we shall return to the drawing board and reflect on today's performance. That's all from us. Goodnight and goodbye.

7:40 PM: It ends with a 10-run defeat. It was a record target to chase and the MI Boys gave their all. Tilak Varma's hard-fought 63, a committed innings from Captain HP (46) and Tim David (37) almost got us past the finish line but it wasn't our night.

7:37 PM: Equation down to 16 off three balls as Luke Wood launches it into the stands. Are we in for a thriller finish?

7:32 PM: FINAL OVER! We need 25 runs to CHASE IT! LET's GO!!!!!!

7:20 PM: Tim began the 18th over with 16 runs (6, 4, 6) off Mukesh Kumar. But, the all-rounder would depart as he was bowled out LBW.

7:18 PM: Three overs to go. MI need 64 runs in 18 balls. Tilak Varma and Tim David are at the crease and have the license to bring their firing guns in the chase.

7:03 PM: TV steps up in time and reached the 50-run mark at a crucial time in the 258-run chase. Operating at a strike rate of 200, the southpaw completed his half century in 25 balls.

6:50 PM: Oops, we are handed a double blow in the 13th over. Hardik Pandya's knock of 46 runs in 24 balls was packaged with four boundary fours and three sixes, and he departed having played his part. But just two deliveries later, he would see Nehal Wadhera also return to the dugout having managed just one boundary in his short stay.

6:28 PM: Captain HP makes the most of the ninth over, as he smashed 18 runs (4, 4, 4, 0, 6) off the five Kuldeep Yadav deliveries he faced. This injected a timely confidence in the team.

6:16 PM: Just moments after notching a MI milestone (100 IPL sixes for MI), Aapla Dada Surya got a premature end to what would have been a match-defining innings. Khaleel Ahmed and Lizaad Williams combined to dismiss him for 26 runs off 13 balls.

6:06 PM: SKY entered the fray and got off the mark with a couple of boundaries and maximums. But he would witness Ishan Kishan depart.

6:00 PM: We lose our first wicket. Rohit Sharma attempted to clear Khaleel Ahmed's ball off mid-off. But, it landed short and Shai Hope completed the catch.

5:50 PM: Ro-HIT and Ishan begin the transaction for a successful run chase by dealing boundary fours. Let's keep this momentum going.

5:20 PM: Intermission. A record 258-run chase awaits the MI Boys. Paltan, you know how we love challenges. And when you have 'Hitman' Rohit Sharma and pocket dynamo Ishan at the top, you know a quickfire start is on the horizon. So keep praying and keeping believing. WE.. CAN.. DO.. THIS..

5:08 PM: Rishabh Pant departs for 29. The Delhi captain airlifts a Jasprit Bumrah delivery onto deep backward square leg. Rohit Sharma bided his time and used his experience to complete the catch for an important dismissal.

4:50 PM: Last five overs. let's pray for more wickets, Paltan!

4:40 PM: DC's momentum is broken again. Shai Hope (41 off 17 balls) sent Luke Wood's slower length ball flying over to deep mid-wicket and Tilak Varma happily completed the caught dismissal to give Luke his first scalp of the game.

4:22 PM: Safe hands Quick hands. Ishan Kishan uses his mobile skills to stump out Abhishek Porel off Mohammad Nabi's bowling. But wait, there was a slight nick too so it went down as Porel c Kishan b Nabi. Our Afghan star grabs his first wicket in MI colours shortly after playing a part in the first wicket.

4:10 PM: WICKET!!!!!! PC strikes. The spin wizard bowls a wrong'un and forces Jake Fraser-McGurk to slam it towards deep mid-wicket. But it lands in the safe hands of Mohammad Nabi. An end to a good innings from DC's opener who departs with 84 runs from 27 balls.

4:00 PM: A tight over from BOOM BOOM brings the powerplay to a close. Delhi are at 92/0 after six overs.

3:47 PM: After three overs of pace, Captain HP introduces a twist with spin. C'mon Piyush! Let's get the first wicket in the bag.

3:40 PM: Let's keep cheering the boys, Paltan. A wicket will come soon. Keep the BELIEVE strong.

3:15 PM: In case you didn't know, today's game is Ishan Kishan's 100th game in the IPL.

How do we line up today?
