Match 6 | DCvMI preview: Kem cho, Vadodara!

By Mumbai Indians

A new setting. Same passion. A new territory. Same intent. New luck.

Despite the last two results not quite going our way, we’ve managed to hold onto our number two spot on the points table, thanks to our superior net run-rate. With three league games remaining before the playoffs, we quickly need to get the pieces of this puzzle together. We’ve had most of our batters play special knocks over the last five games, we’ve had our bowlers produce some tight, sharp spells too. We just need to dot the ‘I’s and cross the ‘T’s and get these performances in sync.

“As a team, we’ve been making mistakes. I know we have a very good side, but if we come together and make fewer mistakes, that can really help us win matches,” said Kaptaan Kaur after the last game. Mumbai Indians know when to peak. We know how to go on a winning roll. As we enter the business end of the competition, we know how the MI Spirit rises up to the occasion and wins the big moments.

Navi Mumbai was the trailer. There were bits of brilliance for everyone to know what is to come. Vadodara is the film. This is where the threads will connect into one wholesome, epic climax.

What: Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians

When: January 20, 2026 | 7:30pm local time

Where: BCA Stadium, Kotambi, Vadodara

What to expect: The last time these two sides met, Harman and Nat Sciver-Brunt smashed 70s to put on a whopping score on the board, before Nicola Carey and Amelia Kerr forged a bowling alliance to skittle the Capitals out to secure a big win. This pitch in Vadodara should be a belter as well, and it wouldn’t be too bad to have a repeat of the same, hain na Paltan!
