MI Charcha | Corbin Bosch on playing for the MI Universe and the importance of ‘trust’

By Mumbai Indians

All roads lead to the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai where Mumbai Indians will face Chennai Super Kings in the reverse fixture on 2nd May 2026. Different city, but same intensity in this showdown and two points are extremely important for us. Paltan, let's come together, believe in our boys and back them at every step. Ahead of the clash, all-rounder Corbin Bosch lit up MI Charcha with his calm and composed nature, bringing a fresh perspective, seizing opportunities and embracing the MI mindset of never backing down. 💙

Firstly, talking about his association with the MI franchisee in the IPL, then appearing in Blue and Gold for SA20 and MLC respectively representing MI Cape Town and MI New York, Corbin said, “Being with MI has been incredibly special. People do not know how much goes on behind the scenes. Everything is looked after very well and the only thing we as players have to focus on is our cricket. The familiarity with all the coaches and a lot of the players also help move from one team to the next in the MI landscape. Getting to play with all of them has been great. It has been an easy transition going from one team to the next.”

Going forward, he shared his thoughts on how he is proactive during his four over spell in the shortest format of the game, and though sometimes being under pressure, how one decides which way the game should be going. Bosch opined, “Bowling has become ruthless in IPL thus far and there are not too many margins for error. We have to be really clear and trust in our preparation. Every single aspect comes down to preparation, ticking all the boxes and executing everything on field. It also comes down to clarity, game plan and before every match we go in with a specific plan for every batter. That is part of the bowling process as well. It is always about being flexible.”

Finally, Corbin revealed a non-tactical piece of advice which he received from the greats at Mumbai Indians, and has stayed with him till date. “Trust your preparation and just be calm and collective. We all try very hard on field…it just goes down to being clear in our approach during training and playing the match. Trust is that big word for me,” said Bosch. 🙏

Composed, confident and a clutch player, our very own Corbin Bosch is ready to make an impact when his chance arises. ✊
