MI Junior 2024: Two double hundreds on a high scoring day in Nagpur

A marvellous all-round performance by Manav Rahija (274 and 6-6) sealed a gigantic 415-run win for Delhi Public School, Kamptee Road against The CDS School, Subhash Nagar in an MI Junior Boys’ Under-14 league game in Nagpur on Monday.

Opting to bat, DPS stacked up a staggering 438/7 in 40 overs, courtesy of Manav’s majestic knock. CDS School were then bowled out for 23, with Manav putting in an impeccable display with the ball too.

In another match in the same category, an unbeaten double ton by Divyansh Sahurkar (222* off 123) and an unbeaten ton by Rajas Vaidya (172* off 116) steered Kurveys New Model Public School to a massive total of 451/1 in 40 overs. With a daunting chase ahead, Shahu Nagar, Besa collapsed for just 38 runs.

Additionally, in the Boys’ Under-16 category in Nagpur, Jay Jaiswal’s exquisite century (164 off 76) propelled Aspire International School, Wardha Road to a mammoth 424/5 in 40 overs.

With the job only half done, Kashyap Pataskar (6 for 12) shone with the ball as Shahu Garden High School, Manewada were dismissed for only 51 runs.
