MI Junior 2026: Swarn Katkar and Aayush Shete Star in Team A’s Formidable Win

By Mumbai Indians

In what turned out to be a run-scoring fiesta, Team A stamped their authority over Team D to register a colossal 9-wicket victory in a league match of the Mumbai Indians Junior Boys Rising Star League 2026.

In the first innings, Team A batters failed to capitalize on their promising starts as the duo of Nikhil Gurav (3/40) and Swarn Katkar (2/35) struck at crucial junctures of the game. However, in-form all-rounder, Lavish Singh proved his pedigree once again as he anchored the innings under pressure. Lavish Singh seemed to find the perfect blend of caution and aggression as he remained unbeaten after a scintillating knock of 96 runs, deprived of a well-deserved ton.

In response, Team D asserted dominance from the beginning as they began the run chase with an exceptional 194-run opening stand. Openers, Aayush Shete and Swarn Katkar made mockery of the bowling and seemed on course to complete the match themselves before Swarn Katkar was dismissed for 79, capping off a valiant all-round effort. Aayush Shete on the other hand has been an absolute revelation this season, scoring his third consecutive century. Aayush displayed his consistency and class as he remained unbeaten on 116 runs, leading his side to a bolstering triumph.

In a low-scoring thriller, Team B marched past Team C with a decisive 24-run win. After opting to bat, Team B failed to build any substantial partnership and were eventually bundled out for 138 runs against a spirited and well-rounded bowling attack. Siddharth Bhosale’s exceptional all-round performance – which included a gritty half-century as well as 2 wickets – came in a losing cause as Team C collapsed like a pack of cards. Bhagwan Pandhare spearheaded the bowling attack, scalping a majestic 4-wicket haul which included dismissals of the entire top-order. Bhagwan Pandhare found support in Rajveer Lad (3/34) and Mohammad Salman Khan (2/43) as they bowled Team B out for just 114 runs.
