Riding over a sensational eight-wicket haul from medium-pacer Parth Shinde, Podar International School cruised to an emphatic 6-wicket win over Aaryans World School, Warje in a Junior U-16 Mumbai Indians Junior Inter School Cricket tournament league match on Monday.

Put into bat, Aaryans World School folded for just 58 runs thanks to Shinde who finished with jaw-dropping figures of 8-23. Podar International then made quick work of the below-par target and overhauled it in 5.3 overs.

In another one-sided contest in the U-14 category,  Angel Mickey Minie School, Hadapsar registered a mammoth 429-run win over Vidyashilp Public School, Kondhwa Budruk. Narendra Chudhari slammed a dominant ton (180* off 70) and Om Tambe (6-17) emerged as the stars in Angel Mickey Minie School's emphatic win.

Batting first, Angel Mickey Minie School amassed a mammoth total of 474 runs. Narendra along with Aditya Gikwad (94 off 46) and Shlok Harpale (70 off 59) guided their team to an imposing total. 

Om Tambe, then, finished the job for Angel Mickey Minie School as he picked up a brilliant hat trick en route to his six-for. Vidyashilp Public School were bundled out for a paltry 45 runs in the chase. 

In the Girls U-15 category,  Aaryans World School, Warje cruised to a 42-run win over  Angel Mickey Minie School, Hadapsar. Sanskruti Khedekar (5-7) was the star for Aaryans World School. 

Having been restricted to a low total of 104 batting first, Aaryans World School, Sanskruti's superb bowling under pressure helped them restrict Angel Mickey Minie School to 62 and sealed the win for her team.
