Mumbai Indians sign Jonny Bairstow, Richard Gleeson and Charith Asalanka
Three new faces, namely Jonny Bairstow, Richard Gleeson and Charith Asalanka, have been added to the Mumbai Indians roster, and would be available from the playoffs, should MI qualify.
The incoming trio will replace Will Jacks, Ryan Rickelton and Corbin Bosch, respectively, who would be leaving for national duty after MI's last league game.
While Rickelton & Bosch are named in the 15-men South Africa squad for their WTC 2023-25 final against Australia, Will Jacks is set to head back to England to feature in a white-ball series versus West Indies.
Talking about the T20 statistics of the fresh entrants, Jonny Bairstow and his compatriot Richard Gleeson have amassed 5000+ runs and 100+ wickets, respectively.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s limited-overs captain Charith Asalanka has scored more than 2,700 runs in 100+ T20s, proving his mettle in the shortest format of the game.
Paltan, let’s welcome the boys with open arms! 💙
