There are performances, and then there are performances that have us move over heartbreaks. Trust the Mumbai Indians to have put in the latter against the Delhi Capitals. A complete performance, out-batting, out-bowling, out-fielding the opponents.. getting home with a thumping 50-run win!

SUP-HARMAN THOR TOUCHDOWN

The feared hammer hit the DY Patil Stadium! A 42-ball, 74-run blitz, smashing four consecutive boundaries in the final over to ensure a solid finish, oh, Kaptaan Kaur was at her peak. Eight fours, three maximums, and she made sure no runs were left out there as Mumbai Indians amassed a whopping 195/4 in their 20 overs.

Nat chi bat, wah bhai wah!  

Nothing sums up MI’s comeback more than Nat’s performances here. Determined to put her off day against RCB behind, she started with a superb 46-ball 79, forming solid partnerships with Kamalini and then Harman to lay the foundation of our big score. And then Nicola Carey finished the innings off in style, with a 12-ball 21-run cameo…

…and then finished off the Capitals’ chase with three quick wickets of the dangerous Shafali Verma, Laura Wolvaardt and Marizanne Kapp to derail their innings. Amelia Kerr too snapped up three wickets, Nat, back to her usual consistent self, two, and Shabnim Ismail at her stingiest best finished with a spell of 4-0-14-1 to seal the deal.
