Rohit set to return for ODIs; SKY named T20 vice-captain
Read it in Hindi.
Read it in Marathi.
The smiles on the faces of us Mumbai Indians fans just won’t go away. It’s a triple-whammy of good news, and we cannot wait to break it to you. It’s the perfect new year’s start. The perfect gift.
The Hitman, after his brilliance against Bangladesh at the death in the second ODI, batting and battling it out in the middle with a broken finger, is set to come back to lead the national side for the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Yep, HE IS FIT, and we cannot wait!
In some other stunning (and totally well-deserved) news, aapla Surya dada has been given a promotion. Welcome, India’s T20I vice-captain, Suryakumar Yadav. After smacking the bowling all around the park, he’s now set to don the thinking hat as well. His career ascendency just keeps scaling peak after peak.
Another of our very own boys, Ishan Kishan, fresh from his double-century, is all set now to cement his spot across both white-ball formats. He’s been named the designated wicket-keeper in the T20I squad, and the opening slot now seems all his for the taking in the ODIs as well.
As everything in life is a buildup to the 2023 ODI World Cup, this series is set to be the road that starts the journey. And the Paltan is totally geared up to throw ourselves behind the Indian side!
