Sachiiiiiin, Sachiiin! Special 50th birthday celebrations in place at the Wankhede
The party is at the Wankhede! Mumbai’s, India’s, Cricket’s most popular son, the run-machine, the record-smasher, the Master Blaster, the first MI player, Sachin Tendulkar, turns 50. And we have taken the onus of throwing a full-on pre-birthday bash.
We aren’t waiting until the 24th of April. This Saturday, all roads, train tracks, and waterways will lead to Churchgate where Mumbai Indians take on the Punjab Kings. A carnival awaits ..
“Sachiiiiin, Sachiiin * clap, clap, clap *”
This is no longer just a chant. At the Wankhede, this is a vibe. So in sync with the #10 jersey in the India Blue, and then in the Blue and Gold, at the end of the tenth over in the first innings, get ready for it to once again engulf the stadium and reverberate in your minds and ears for decades to come.
A Tendulkar on every seat
33000 spectators, 33000 Tendulkar face marks. Every person at the ground would proudly show their love for the big man, literally, on their faces. Oh it’s going to be a proper visual spectacle, certainly a first in cricket.
Garware gets grand
A special Tendulkar installation is set to be in place outside the Garware pavilion. Make sure you hop over, get your selfies clicked, and get yourselves an I-was-right-there story (with proof!) to tell your grandkids.
What more do you want? A cake cutting? You never know, we could just be having that as well. Paltan, see you at the Wankhede. Let’s ring in our Icon’s 50th birthday together.
