INDvSA Tests | Rivalry reignited: Up next, Cracking Protea challenge

By Mumbai Indians

It's time for another cricketing blockbuster!

The Indian cricket team is all set to host South Africa in an all-format tour featuring two Tests, three ODIs and five T20Is beginning November 14 at the Eden Gardens. 🙌

If history’s anything to go by, this series promises thrillers after thrillers after thrillers!

Over the years, India vs South Africa clashes have been the stuff of cricketing legend - fierce contests, breathtaking finishes & enough edge-of-the-seat moments to keep fans hooked till the very end. Whether it’s the traditional red-ball grind or the white-ball fireworks, these two heavyweights never fail to turn up the heat. 🔥

To name a few from a massive checklist of memories… Sehwag & Yuvraj’s heroics in 2002 Champions Trophy semis, the 2006 Johannesburg heist to register the first Test win on South African soil, Sehwag’s triple century at Chepauk in 2007, Tendulkar’s classic 200* off 147 at Gwalior in 2010 to become the first male cricketer to record a double hundred in ODIs and Surya’s “long off, long off…” moment to clinch the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy. Ah, feeling nostalgic already, eh?! 🥹

Sure, the Proteas might hold the upper hand in Tests and ODIs, but when it comes to the shortest format, the reigning world champions rule the show.

The Men in Blue have built a solid record in T20Is and back on home soil, they’ll be itching to extend that dominance. Every venue, every crowd, every roar will echo with one chant - Indiaaaaaaaaaa, Indiaa! 🇮🇳
