Stat check: How our ten MI stars line up at the T20 World Cup
The T20 World Cup in the USA and the West Indies is fast approaching, and all the teams are intensively preparing for this prestigious event. The IPL may be over, but this is set to keep us glued to our screens for the next month or so.
Ten of our MI boys are all set and geared up to don the national colours. Representing India, we have the likes of Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and Suryakumar Yadav. Gerald Coetzee will make his first appearance for South Africa in the T20 World Cup, while Nuwan Thushara and Dilshan Madushanka will debut for Sri Lanka. Mohammad Nabi, the most experienced overseas player from our camp, has been part of half a dozen tournaments already. Tim David, who was part of Australia’s 2022 T20 World Cup squad, and Romario Shepherd, set to make his first appearance for the West Indies in the T20 tournament, are also set to set the stage on fire.
The Hitman, one constant in every edition of the T20 World Cup so far, and someone who know how it is to win a T20 World Cup, having been part of the 2007 winning squad, will lead the Indian side for the second straight edition in a row, bringing his wealth of experience and leadership skills to the forefront. With such a diverse and talented group of players, we are excited to see the thrilling performances they will deliver on the world stage.
