The mastermind behind every wicket, Bumrah made Headingley come alive during the year 2025… 💙

With every spell he bowled, he helped India thrive. ⚡️

With precision and pace, he delivered pure grace, 👏

Putting the English opponents firmly in place. 🤫

When our very own Boom found his fiery groove, 🔥

Each batter was tested and had no answer to every well-planned move. ☝️

This day that year, JB chased his dream…

One year later, the memories are still fresh because the five wickets were the cherry on the cream. 🇮🇳

Headingley, Leeds has long been a theatre of unforgettable and iconic cricketing moments where some spells win matches, then there are other spells like Jasprit Bumrah’s that become a part of folklore. When conditions demanded excellence, our very own speedster delivered history. Last year on 22nd June 2025, Boom spearheaded and produced a masterclass 5/83 in 24.4 overs versus England during the first Test match.

The once in a generation bowler…combined his skill sets, precision, great intensity and outstanding planning to leave his trademark at one of cricket’s most iconic venues. A year on, today the numbers still impress and his performance still inspires generations. England’s batting line up was stacked with experience as they looked to always be one step ahead. But India repeatedly found ways to break partnerships and shifted the momentum quickly. Credit to skipper Shubman Gill who always stood by Boom and ensured he was utilized at the correct moments of the match. 💙

Back then, during England’s first innings…Boom struck early and picked the key wicket of Zak Crawley with a peach of a delivery, Karun Nair making no mistake held onto the catch. He then bowled out Ben Duckett for 62 and further snapped up Joe Root. He later cleaned up the lower order, sending back Chris Woakes who was batting well on 38 and Josh Tongue for a mere 11 runs. As wickets tumbled at regular intervals, Bumrah demonstrated his magical ability to always deliver when the team needed him the most.

On this day a year ago, reliving some of his iconic milestones…The Indian pace spearhead became the first Asian bowler to take 150 wickets across SENA countries. An outstanding bowling display also ensured he grabbed his 14th five wicket haul in Test cricket and equalled the legendary Kapil Dev’s most fifers, 12 for India in away Tests. Indeed, it was a landmark achievement that highlighted his remarkable success during away games.

Even today, beyond statistics and numbers it was a grand show produced by our very own JB, as he delivered another unforgettable chapter in his ever-growing legacy. Paltan, it was a spell for the ages, a milestone for history books that brought joy and elation to every cricketing fan. Today, one year on…it is a perfect time to watch the highlights on loop! 🔥
