Atharva Vaidya came up with an exemplary all-round performance to lead Abhinav Vidyalaya to an easy nine-wicket win over Anglo Urdu Boys High School in the U-16 Boys Mumbai Indians Junior Cricket Tournament at Parande 1 ground on Saturday.

Vaidya first took a five wicket haul to restrict Anglo Urdu to 209 all-out in 39 overs. He later smashed an unbeaten 74 to help his side chase the target in 31 overs. Aadil Nene gave him good support by scoring 61 runs.

In another match at the DY Patil Ground, Buds International School cruised to a four-wicket win over Sheth Dagduram Katariya School. Roshan K took four wickets for Buds to assist in bowling out Katariya for 70 runs in 24.4 overs. Roshan then made a crucial 14 runs in a low scoring match to help his side chase the target in 24.4 overs.
