Kerala’s wicketkeeper-batter Vishnu Vinod arrives at MI with one noted attribute - versatility. He had shown his repertoire of big hitting at the junior, youth, under-23 and under-25 levels for his state team and would take it up a notch when opportunities came in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Ranji Trophy.
This confident set of performances earned him his first taste of IPL cricket with RCB in the 2017 edition, followed by stints with Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Vinod is coming in fresh as the champion in the DY Patil T20 tournament 2023, where he racked up 186 runs for Reliance 1, including a 4stunning 7-ball 91 in his first game at a strike-rate of 193.62.
