The ability to pound runs in the middle overs, a proven blueprint of consistency and the hunger to win. All at a young age. This is Nehal Wadhera, and he is here to do one thing: To go all guns blazing and smash them around.
The first exhibition of Nehal Wadhera’s talent came in the 2018 U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy, where he smashed six fifties. Further examples of his promise with the bat came on his U-19 India debut against Sri Lanka (81) and in the semis of a 2022 Punjab State Inter-district tournament (578 vs Bathinda U-23). As if to celebrate him being picked up at the 2023 IPL Auction, the Punjab boy notched a century (123) on his Ranji debut against Gujarat and would follow it up with a double-ton (214) a couple of games later vs Madhya Pradesh in the 2022-23 season.
