14 Feb to 15 March – Mark your calendars, WPL SEASON 3 IS HERE!

By Mumbai Indians

From Vadodara to Bengaluru to Lucknow to Aamchi Mumbai…it’s time to chalk out our schedules. The dates for the third season of the Women’s Premier League are here, and we simply cannot hide our excitement!! Paltan, it’s our time to conquer once again.

The league is set to be played in a caravan format, with the action kicking off on the 14th of February at the newly built BCA Stadium in Vadodara with the Gujarat Giants taking on the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Mumbai Indians would open their campaign on Saturday (February 15) against the Delhi Capitals.

The action then moves to the Chinnaswamy Stadium and the Ekana Stadium – set to make its WPL debut – before heading into our city, our fortress. The Cricket Club of India (Brabourne Stadium) will play host to our final two league games, along with the play-offs. Surely we don’t need to remind you what happened the last time the playoffs were held here, Paltan!

In a format similar to that in the first two seasons, each team would play each other twice, and the topper of the table would get a direct entry into the Final, while teams coming second and third at the end of the league stage, would battle it out in an Eliminator.
